Understanding the Determinants and Motivations for Collaborative Consumption in Laundromats

A laundromat is a collaborative consumption alternative that representative of larger shift toward sharing economy. The present study aimed to investigate determinants use and develop theoretical model based on the Theory Planned Behavior provide insights into consumer intentions regarding laundromats. This also investigated differences among motivations concerning laundromats in terms their washing practices sociodemographics using correspondence analyses. Data were collected from users. results indicated driven primarily by attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, usefulness. Further group analysis between respondents only those together with other choices showed different significant intention determinants. Convenience speed most practical reasons for analyses divergent various customer segments. Our findings could be used support marketing campaigns highlighting uniqueness services gain customers at segments maintain existing base.
